Life Cycle Cost Analysis (LCCA) - The Colorado Experience
This case study details Colorado DOT's experiences with asset management and life cycle costing analysis (LCCA). CDOT began using LCCA to evaluate investment decisions, and the agency has developed an LCCA process that has been integrated into their planning, policies, and procedures to produce a sound, long-term approach to managing assets. This report is part of the FHWA Office of Asset Management's series of case studies on TAM, produced with the goal of sharing information between agencies to improve efficiency.
