Oklahoma DOT's interactive, GIS-based dashbaord displays their performance measures supporting MAP-21. The website identifies historic trends, includes maps overlaid with data, and tracks the current measures as they relate to ODOT's goals.

The 2045 Mississippi Unified Long-Range Transportation Infrastructure Plan was published December 2020. The previous Mississippi Long-Range Plan, MULTIPLAN 2040, is no longer accessible over the internet.

This manual outlines the Colorado Department of Transportation’s 2020 procedures for assessing risk to highway assets from flooding, rockfall, and fire-related debris flows. Developed by Applied Engineering Management Corporation in collaboration with CDOT experts, the procedure reflects current best practices tailored specifically for Colorado’s transportation context. It draws on insights from the 2017 I-70 Pilot Risk and Resilience Project and provides example assessments based on that corridor. While the methods are emerging and not yet standardized industry-wide, they offer a foundational approach for quantifying infrastructure risk in CDOT’s resilience planning efforts.

This TCRP Synthesis report presents an analysis of the current practices in rail asset management from the industry at large. The findings are based on the results of a survey of 28 heavy- and light-rail transit agencies across the US and three selected case studies. Specifically, this study looks at the rate of occurrence of rail defects, broken rails, and broken rail derailments and how that corresponds to the use of ultrasonic testing by agencies of different sizes and levels of transit system use.

The Pavement Management & Performance program provides technical support to pavement managers, it participates in national policy discussions, and it studies emerging methods and technologies for collecting pavement data. Their homepage on FHWA's website contains a wealth of resources, including a series of quarterly pavement webinars and other publications. Explore the page for any resources that may be useful for improving pavement management.

As new technologies are developed in the field of transportation, agencies have the opportunity to collect more data than ever before. In this report, agencies are introduced to an eight step framework for managing this new big data and incorporating it into asset management. The eight steps start with gaining an understanding of big data, then walk through the process for piloting a big data test environment. The steps end with demonstrating the value of the data to other business units and executives and set up a formal storage environment. Supporting this report are several additional tools, including a data management capability self-assessment, a catalog tool, and more information on data governance. This TRB Circular report covers the discussions of CEOs from state, regional, and transit agencies on the topic of the pandemic, and how it has impacted their agencies' planned investments. The webinar, from July 2020, featured six panelists from Pennsylvania, Utah, Kansas, California, Maryland, and DC. They explored the immediate impacts of the pandemic to their operations, the challenges three months in, and some of their creative solutions. The key messages emerging from the discussions were returning to normal, approaching the problems, and putting people first.

This report provides a guide for agencies transitioning into a more modern data management approach. It covers the knowledge, environment, projects, and personnel buy-in necessary to successfully shift from a traditional data management approach to one that takes on "big data" with an assortment of novel technologies.
