This presentation focuses on geotechnical asset management in Alaska. Alaska's geotechnical assets–rock slopes, earth retaining walls, soil and slope embankments– are worth 3 times Alaska's bridge inventory. Care of these assets is critical and this presentation outlines Alaska's strategy to use timely mitigation to increase the cost effectiveness of treatments.
